B6 a4 avant drivers door latch closes itself!

Hi guys everytime I open the drivers door the latch that catches shut when you close the door just closes itself and I have to pull it out otherwise its in the closed position and bangs against the door striker, is there anything obvious that goes wrong with these or is there any thing I can do to sort it by stripping it down etc?
ive not whipped door panel off yet but thought id throw a post on here to see if anyone else had any info or similar probs!

Try some electrical contact cleaner but it may need a new sensor

all sorted, stripped door down and contact switched where bob on,it was more the mechanism that wasnt opening fully, caked it all in spray lube and got it nice and free but adjusting the door striker down slightly on the b pillar seemed to do the job and stopped the catch from closing when i open the door everytime!
