Luggage Lashing Eyes.

I installed the lashing eyes into my saloon yesterday but i was just wanted to know the following, Are they suppose to sit flush to the boot floor?

The reason i ask is because where the screws locate to hold them down sits proud of the floor thus making the eyes sit at a angle. The part number of the eyes i used is as follows 1J0864203.

Mine are factory and flush.

They should sit flush.

Are you using the wrong screws?

I used the proper screws (n10311403) its hard to describe, are the lashing eyes suppose to pull down onto the proud bits on the boot floor then?

Ive tightened the screws up as much as i dared.

Did you cut away enough of the boot carpet? I had to keep trimming until the eyes fit flush

Yeah i believe so ALPESH26 also the tip of my thumb got the cut too (ouch!) Ill take another look at them when i finish work today.
