concert cd error

Got the radio working but when I insert a cd it cant read it then says cd error.

Is this common? Can you take the unit apart and clean the lens?

Anyone tried that before?

Yeah you can take it apart to clean it. I used a cotton swab and some ipa alcohol.

Id try a lens cleaning cd before taking it apart though. I think you get heat haze on the lens so it stops reading after a while

it played some of the discs it never used to play, but it can be fussy with certain CD's - CD-RW's especially.

Cd did not work so will be taking it apart now.
