Good Swap?

03/53,57k miles,FASH,Moro Blue Pearl Metallic,Full black buffalino leather,17" alloys, sport kit/boot spoiler,5sp tiptronic auto,fully loaded-sat nav/TV/Text/dig climate control/elec heated seats/auto lights/auto anti dazzle int mirror/bose upgrade 10 speaker stereo 6 disc changer

The guy is willing to swap me my car + £7K. My car:
'01 B6 A4 1.9tdi(130) SE. FASH, 17" alloys, cruise, heated mirrors and jets, 6cd, walnut trim, interior light pack, bluetooth, tracker, 54k

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

your 1.9 is dew a cam belt soon if not done yet
as long as the auto box is changing gears ok on the 2.5 go for it

Yeah, due at 60k. But is the 2.5 not due a cam belt at 60k as well?

I've just done the deal. I hope it's the right decision. Why is the cam belt change so much later on the 2.5?

Why can't they go over to a timing chain that doesn't have to be replaced?
