smallest wheels on a B6 S line?

What's the smallest size wheels I can fit to my 1.8t s line? Looking to get my wheels refurbed so will need to buy/borrow a set.

What size are your front discs? 288mm or 312mm?

If 288mm you can go down to 16" steel but cannot see a 16" steel going over 312 discs because of the shape of a steelie.

that will have to be my next question then lol, will have to wip one off and measure, unless someone knows what the 1.8t's came with out of the factory?

If it's a true S-Line it will have 312mm discs. 16" alloys will fit over them ok, and steels I imagine unless I'm missing something?

mike i have a set of 16" original quattro alloys if you're interested, 5 in fact, 2 with v good tyres, one as new spare and two ok for a short while - they were my winter / change set but have normal tyres on them (now surplis as i've two sets of 18's!)

they definitely fit over 312 brakes

16 inch fit thats what i use for winters etka might show 15 though cant check as i am away from home
