Econ won't go off??

Tried all I can but econ won't go off? Am I missing something?

Any ideas?!

How weird is that, just been away for the weekend in the mrs avant and her car is doing the exact same thing! I was getting really frustrated with it cos no matter what I did with heater and blower settings I couldn't turn off econ either, the light on the button just turns off in time with you pressing the button and then goes back on to solid light when you release your finger off of the button..... :/.

you need either a regas
or a sensor has ****ed up

It's the air conditioning shutting itself down to protect itself. If the Econ light is ON the compressor is OFF, this means the ac isn't working. This is typically because it is low on refrigerant, or one of the sensors has failed.

As James says above.......normally low on gas

Mine was the same when I bought it, had it regassed and replaced the sensor all ok light went out.

I had exactly the same on my car last month. It was a pressure switch which had failed. Cost for a new switch and regas was circa £150 .
