Help I need to know if there's a difference

Hi all, I need to replace my throttle pedal sensor on my a4. I've managed to find one local to me for £14, but it came off a diesel a4 from the same year! Will this fit mine and work? Or shall I get a petrol one?

on a B6 the diesel and petrol accelerator pedals use a different connection, though I don't know whether this directly affects the the sensor
