I'm looking for a way of adding Bluetooth and iPod to the car. Seems I won't be able to have song text (although I would like it)

I'd also like to stream music via Bluetooth (yes I'm too lazy to plug my phone in)
All jokes aside I will end up leaving it in the car all the time if I have to plug it in.

Is anyone using this set up? Is it any good? Or is there a better solution that I'm missing?

Lastly I've been asked to establish whether my stereo is gen 1 or 2. Or am I better off sourcing a higher model of standard stereo?

I've got the gateway lite non BT set-up with a symphony II system, and it works great, I prefer to plug my phone in as BT canes my battery, but thinking back I should have gone for the BT version. You can order directly from dension Gateway Lite BT (non-A2DP) for £80 including delivery, if you look on their website you will be able to work out if your stereo is Gen I or II, concert I seems to have a nob in the middle.

It won't let me add it to the cart. Ive emailed them a few days ago, and tried using their 'live' chat a few times. Starting to wonder if I should deal with a different company.

Worked out that it is Gen2, so that helped thanks :)

Anyone had any dealings with dension? I'm starting to wonder if I should deal with a different company.

I've just had no issue adding it to my cart mate, you must be doing something wrong

and make sure you order the ipod cable at the same time, as there wasn't one included in my kit.

Seems to be working now, kept saying 'qty requested not available'
Although i've just worked out that 'non a2dp' means it wont stream music.

I'm just wondering if the gateway pro would work. It states that you need the mfsw, but im wondering whether thats just to use the call accept/end buttons - which I could use on my phone. It's a long shot I know. I've rang a few audio installers, and they say it 'should' be the case but no one seems to have tried it.

After all that, they don't ship to the uk!!

Talk about make an easy job hard. Been told I have to purchase through the 'UK supply chain'. Which is conveniently more expensive.

I'm starting to think Dension don't like me lol

Got onto that chat thing, and they say its an agreement in place with the uk distributor that they won't sell direct.

It doesn't allow you to go forward to the payment page unless you remove it from the cart. Ended up ordering from eBay for a tender extra. Although the iPod cable is £32 here, £15 on the site. It allows you to have accessories delivered to the uk, but they charge £9.50 postage.
If you spend £40 you get free shipping so ordered the cable, and an extension kit - might allow me to mount it in the armrest for the extra £8 I've had to spend.

The non version doesn't stream music over Bluetooth. So you have to plug your phone in to play music off of it. Although calls will still work over bluetooth
