Thinking of getting one done on my avant.
Can someone run through on how it works, like when they start measuring,do they put it through all the gears,or is it just a blast in one gear?

Do different places measure different like flywheel and actual wheel power?

Cheers

you would need the engine out to do power at the fly

it will be measured at the wheels

I cant say I have ever seen a car dynoed but when it comes to bikes they do a roll on in 4th and they also go through the gears from 2nd this is to measure the full rev range

you usual print out is just a roll on though I reckon in a car they would do it in 3rd maybe!

im sure someone in the know will reply

Measured at the wheels.

Usually worked up the gears and then measured in 4th.

They then use the drivetrain resistance to estimate power at the flywheel.
