    Anti shudder valve problem?

    Suspecting the anti shudder valve on my PD130 has a fault.
    There is no sign of the the actuator arm moving when turning the engine on or off. There is vaccum on the pipe when turning off, but nothing when starting.
    Should I be able to see movement on the ASV arm?

    Fixed it.
    A4 Avant B6 1.9 TDI 130 Sport (6) Moro Pearl Blue, GMBH S Line Kit, Decat, 165bhp remap, EGR delete, K&N panel, Dunlop SP Sport Max, Full Leather, Cruise Control, Full DIS, Bose, Audi phone prep, Cooled Glove Box, Rear privacy glass, Rear parking assist.

    What was the fix?
    A4 1.9TDI Sport - 130 (B6) / Mods: None yet, just getting the basic right first

    Inside the ASV is a really thin rubber diaphram which had a big split in it. You cannot get a new diaphram from VAG only the whole EGR/ASV assembly so I used a mechanics rubber glove finger stretched over the diaphram to form a new seal. Cost me £ 0's
    Shut down is now instant & shudder has completely gone.
