juddering in reverse...130 tdi avant

afternoon, i have the car as per title and have a small issue, in every other way the car is fine and pulls like a train stops and goes as it should...except when reversing uphill, strange i know but this is the only time it does it, when you try to reverse up an incline the car 'judders' and to me it sounds like an engine mount of sorts is worn, anybody heard of or had this problem before? to replace the gearbox mount will cost me as good as 300 quid due to them changing the design and me now having to by a new cross member to match the new style mount..hence the price, i dont fancy laying that out to find its not solved the issue
