I have a 2002 TDI 130 saloon with 288mm fronts. Am I right in thinking that if using the front carriers from a 2004 2.4 cabby I can switch to 312mm? Is it right that my existing calipers can be used on the 312mm set-up? Will I gain much difference in braking performance by doing this?

Thanks for that. I've been having a good search through the site to get more info. The one question none of the threads seem to answer though is whether there is much improvement by moving to the 312mm disc?
Stopping power improved for me......you just don't need as much effort on the pedal when braking if that makes sense.
They also fill the wheel better and visually look nicer being larger too LOL
