Central locking doesnt unlock drivers door BUT locks it

i have the 1.9 tdi sport

not that it should make a difference for this particular prob!

but as mentioned - when i unlock the car via fob - all doors and boot unlock apart from drivers door - so i have to open with key - however when i lock the car - all doors lock including drivers door

any ideas

I would put this down to the wiring inbetween the body and the door.

Mine caused a manner of random lock/window issues when one of the wires had worn.

Not sure how much the new looms are - I basically removed mine & re-soldered all the broken connections.

It can be done in situ but its awkward, I removed the wiring loom from the door.
