It seems that unlike everyone else, I actually like the chrome trim around the side windows, but mine have the poverty spec black surrounds and always feel jealous of avants with this nice detail and consider it an act of inhumanity when people cover it up with black sellotape!
Now, I could get chrome avant trim but fitting is very hard with rivets and suchlike being involved. So could I instead wrap it the opposite way and put chrome vinyl trim on the black trim? I've found vinyl trim on the net, but unsure if it's as flexible as the black stuff, as it has to wrap around tiny bends and junctions, or if it's thick and won't bend without creasing.
Any ideas if this would work?
