I recently retrofitted a set of leather sport seats into my SE A4

I really want to get the electric support as handy as possible without the loom if possible

Would anyone know is there anywhere I could tap for power to get the electric lumbar support going?

Has anyone ever got it going with out the loom or can it be easily done with the loom?

Cheers lads

Bump

Anyone done this before ?

I'm just wondering would it be possible to take power from the cig lighter?

Or is there any wires running below the door sill I could tap either?

I imagine that it is just + & - so could connect to the lighter wiring, if it isnt already present under the seat. Have you checked the back of the seat though? The electric support pushes against plastic clips on the back of the seat and when you use it, it snaps the clips and the seatback comes off.

yeah just checked it there this evening two wires going into the plug,

A big thick brown wire and another thinner wire going into it, so I'd imagine all it needs is - and + alright......

Getting - might not be a problem....but the + on the other hand :(
