Hi all,

Just thought I'd share some before and afters of my A4 cab, let me know what you think. The last pic is a doctored image I've put together to give you n example of what I am doing to the Grille and bumper next week. The grilles and number behind the number plate will be matte black.

The rear shot is when I had 18's I now have 19 ET35's as in the other pics.

Very nice mate, like the headlights.

Not sure on the grill bumper combo, personally I'd leave it be. But if you like it that's the main thing.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate that. I've had a few people already suggest leaving the grille as it is. I'm still undecided, I want my front end to look individual as I see a lot of B6 cabs on the road in Birmingham. I don't want to go down the Hofele single frame grille route. Hmmmmmmm.......

What about a honeycombe style RS grill mate? On eBay for about £36. Black out the rings maybe?

whereabouts in Brum are u fella, I'm only down the road in Redditch.

I'll have a look at that grille mate cheers. I'm in Weoley Castle right by Selly Oak, do you know it?

  • Heard of it mate, don't know it well though. Keep us posted on grille developments.

Nice Car but i would put the Grille back original and scrap them running lights !

Nice Car altogether though :)

Hi

Have you got a wind deflector ? If not I have 1 hardly used with its storage bag if your interested

150 quid inc p&p

:)

Ps leave the grill as it should be !

The grille is in its original state at the mo. the blacked out grille and bumper is photoshop mate. I already have a wind deflector, cheers.

I like what you've done so far,not 100% on the lights myself but I like the grill idea in your last pic especially on the red. You could maybe do it in black vinyl so if you didn't like it you could peel it off with no permanent affects. Then a cupra splitter to make it a bit harder looking :) our cabs do look a little soft on the front as standard don't they.

Yeah I did consider using vinyl but at the same time I'm looking forward to seeing a proper matte black finish from the spray shop. I suppose nothing is permanent and it will just cost a bit to put it right if I don't like it but it's worth a punt. Yeah the b6 Cab front end looks dated now and the chrome trim surrounding the grilles makes it look a bit dainty. I've seen one other person do what I'm about to do the the grille and bumper on an A3 and it did look very good indeed. It gave it a more modern look and the aggression I like :)
