I have bought some 8x18 et 32 alloys and was wondering what tyres fit this size rim and would this offset give it a wider or narrower stance? Would i need spacers to fill the arches?

wider or narrower than what? if you had 8x 18 with an ET of 45 they would sit further inwards than 8 x 18 with an ET of 32. Sounds like they will be fine and fill out to the arches just fine. I am not entirley sure the correct tyre width for those as I run slighly stretched tyres at 215 up front and 225 on the rear, so I think that 235 is what you would need but someone who knows will be along and input I am sure !

Will give it a wider stance so no you won't need spacers but you may get some rubbing of the tyres on the arches on full lock depending on tyre size

A lower number offset than your standard wheels moves the wheel out of the arch!

All A4's with 18" 8J wheels left the factory with 235 tyres. Some people fit 225's as they're cheaper, and some fit 215's if they like the stretched look. So it depends what you want.

My wheels are 8x18 et35 so mine without spacers sat 3mm further in the arch than yours will fit mine also had 235/40 18 tyres fitted all round if your's is a quattro its best to run the same size tyre front and back to keep the rolling radius the same,

Here's how they looked in the arches:

Im now running the same wheels but with 20mm spacers rear and 15mm spacers front but i also changed the tyres to 225/40 18 to make it rubbing free, i took this route as i like the wider look.

How it looks now in the arches:
