Wiper arm broken? (inc. Pictures)

Hi guys,

I recently bought an Audi A4 Avant SE (B6) but the wiper noise is driving me crazy!

So I took a look at the drivers side one first, lifting up the arm, but the wiper just kind of fell off into my hands - it doesn't appear to clip onto the arm? The pressure of the arm pushing it against the windscreen is the only thing keeping it on :S

Can anyone tell if the wiper arm is broken or is the actual wiper broken? I'm CONFUSED!

From what I've found on the forum, the B7 wiper arms & blades are better, but is it worth the upgrade from B6 Aeros?

B6 and B7 Aero arms are one and the same, you have standard B6 wipers. I think it's a worthwhile upgrade, although the price has crept up of late (£100 ish now?) so that's a matter for you.

I can't really see anything wrong with the clips from your pictures, but they do break and the blades shouldn't just fall out of the arm. The clips can be bought independantly, there was a thread on it recently.
