Tyre question

got a deal on some RS4 alloys 18"x 8.5 j
they have 255/40/18 tyres on them
will they fit on my A4
or will I have to change the tyres to 235/40/18

255/40 will be too big as the tyre wall will be too big. 40% of 255mm compared to 40% of 235 which is the original spec

Genuine RS4s are 19s from memory

i think they came off an RS6 , but not sure!!

when I go and collect them anyhow
the problem is will they fit , with the tyres ??
as long as there Audi 18"x8.5 j Stud 112
and fit ,, there the alloys I want ... dont care if they came off a RS or not .......

Has anyone run 18"x8.5 et30 With 255/40/18. Please ;-)

I have 8.5 x 18 et32 all round with 235/40/18

255/40/18 tyres are too big and will rub while also putting your speedo out.
