    1.8t cab accelerating hesitation..

Not long been an Audi owner, my 1.8t cabriolet (B6) is lovely and smooth to drive until I put my foot down and it reaches 3000rpm, then from there upwards I get hesitation like it loses power for a split second. It does this from 3rd gear up to 5th, doesnt do it in 1st and I dont think it does it in 2nd.. Has anyone had this issue or known of anybody having this issue? I would like to get this sorted ASAP as I would like to start getting a few mods done, like TT injectors, remap and exhaust system. cheers!

I have just had the car read by a volkswagen garage (my brother works there so got it free) and came back with this fault code:

    17544 P1136 001
    Bank1, mixture adaption (add)
    System too lean
    Static

17544/P1136/004406 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean

    Possible Solutions

    • Check Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
    • Check Fuel Pressure Regulator
    • Check Fuel Pump
    • Check Intake/Exhaust System for Leaks
    • Check Secondary Air Injection for Leaks
    • Check Vacuum Lines for Leaks
    Special Notes

    • Fuel Trim Info
    • When this fault is stored and external vacuum leaks are not found, less obvious problems may be present:
      • Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80)
      • Check Brake Booster and Hoses
      • Check Electric Vacuum Pump ( If Applicable )
      • Check Crankcase Ventilation System for faulty components. When the PCV or Crankcase Ventilation System is faulty, vacuum is typically present under the oil cap and misfire faults are common.

Fist thing I'd do is change the spark plugs if there haven't been.changed in a while. Standard ones will do.
