Anyone know where i can get one cheaper than from £udi??

Been quoted about 45 + the dreaded for a few wires and a bit of plastic!

needed for installation of phatnoise into non -changer equipped b6

Its brand new and was bought from Bedford Audi (still in the wrapper).

I think I paid £17 from my dealer if its the same lead I am thinking of; it goes from the back of the unit to the glovebox cd changer and is about 3 ft long...

Sounds different to the one I've got.

Goes from the Headunit to the boot.

I bought it from Bedford Audi.

Most B5's came with the lead whether they had a CD changer or not... doesn't the B6? May be worth a look, it could be tucked away somewhere /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks for your help guys, i think i will get away with finishing the phatnoise installation without it now thanks to Deano s advice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif

B6's do NOT come with the CD changer wire to the boot, because of the more common 6 disc CD changer in the head unit.

If you want to install the phatnoise then you have two options:

1) Buy the VW phatnoise system and buy the Audi Glovebox CD Changer cable and you're done.

2) Buy the Audi phatnoise system and buy the long extension cable that runs to the boot, which costs around $104 USD's in the States.

I have the VW Phatnoise in my glovebox using the Audi Glovebox CD changer cable. Works great!
