What mlieage should it be changed on a A4 B6 1.8T 2001 plate?

Cheers

book says somthing stupid like 100k miles, but I would change at 60-80k miles

On the 4 cylinder diesel it is 60k, it is correct in the book but totally confusing as it includes all models and the 6 cylinder diesel and all the petrol models are all different intervals.

I'd better get it done soon, as it's on 66,000 :-(

Should i also have the water pump done at the same time? as there is talk of changing it at the same time as the belt.

Cheers

yes change the water pump aswell ,it should cost around £30 to £50 extra with fitting, if not when it packs up you will have to pay a lot more labour to have your bumper/ front end and timing belt removed again to fit the pump

Not to mention possible engine rebuild if the pump has seized and stripped the timing belt.
