Decided i want to install my after market radio.

is there a how to on removing the standard on and what i will need ie Ariel adapters etc

I know i need the facial plate adapter but what else

You need the removal keys, insert them with the angled sides facing inwards (towards each other). Once you have the keys inserted they should lock in position but don't pull on them to pull the HU out as you can damage the spring clips and end up with the HU stuck in the dash.
Remove the glovebox and push the HU from behind.
You'll need an ISO aerial adapter
CT27AA05 Aerial/Antenna VAG Active ISO Adaptor

And a PC9-404 or 410 RCA input adapter depending on whether you have non Bose or Bose. If unsure then use the 410 as it works on both.

You will also need to wire in a switched live feed as the B6 doesn't have one at the HU, or wire both red & yellow feeds together to the perm live and switch the HU on/off manually.

Nope, that's a permanent live.

Take it from the fuse box, use a tester to find a switched live feed and tap into it.

yes sussed it out and took it from the fuse box
