electric window repairs

hiya guys,
went fishing yesterday and wound the window right down as tha car was misting up dew to wet nets in the back,
just as it reached the bottom there was a horrible noice and the window would not wind back up,
sound,, 25 miles up the a1 with the window down, just what i needed !
anyways,
i took the door card off when i got home, and it appears the runners in good condition and the motor is still sound
its just the cables and winders that are absolutely cream crackered !
ive already seen plenty of kits on ebay that look exactly the same as the one i need,
i was just wondering if anyone has done this repair themselves and how easy was it ?

does anyone have a link to show how its done ?

get another window regulator off ebay, kits are a mare to refit much easier buy a complete second hand one.

yep,,
looking at the price of a regulator kit and a wire kit, i think ill be doing the former !
especially as theres a video on good old youtube,!!!

Ive removed and refitted my regulators theyre fairly straight forward mate sure you wont have much trouble replacing them,

im sure ill make hard work of it dan,, but its summat to do aint it,,
theres always a great sense of acheivement when doing jobs like this yourself,,
especially when yer know audi would have had yer pants down had you taken it to them,, !
