Audi A4 b6 Wheel Help!!

Hi
Looking at getting some new Alloys 18 X 9.5 offset ET20, (Tyres thinking something like 225/40/18)
Originals are 17 X 7.5 offset ET45, (235/45/17)
Anyone running this setup
any rubbing ect and will they be legal or stickout to far

Hi mate, dont know from experience but why do you want to put a tyre 10mm smaller than the tyre you have on a wheel 50 mm wider?!
