headlight alignment check

just about to upgrade my bulbs in the headlights.

ive heard you have to get the alignment checked afterwards, my question is can this be done by using vagcom, and how

Whenever I swap my bulbs, I park on the level about 6ft away from a wall, garage door etc. Turn the lights on and mark the beam pattern on the wall with tape or chalk, and then when you put the lights back in set them to that. The alignment is an internal mechanism inside the light, you won't touch that. You just need to mount the lights back in the same place.
