Just had my 1.8t in the garage to replace the lower temp sensor. Should of done it myself.

Well he's cleaned the throttle body aswell without him telling me but now just drove it back and the engine management light has come on and it feels like its missfiring.

does as miss fire on a b6 throw the management light on?? Hopefully it's just that.

never going there again.

ill have to wait untill I'm home to use vagcom now

Well I'm presuming its a miss fire anywZy feels like one

the light will flash for missfires
take it back to him

Luckily I only paid £30 to fit the sensor dnt want to trust them with it again just going to replace the coil packs myself. Anybody know how to log which ones missfiring with vcds ??

what code are you geting ?

change 4 to 1 gor for a drive then rescan
see if the miss has moved to number 1
just swap the first 1 and last 1 round

and just for your info 1 is always the cam belt side

so 4 is the back one

i think so but not 100% sure
but it wont matter as when you swap them if the miss follows you know its the coil pack
and they do go quite offen
i always carry a spare in the boot for that reason

update guys went crewe audi thismorning for a new coil pack £38 they charged, just fitted it and hey presto all good now!! cheers for the help :)

There's a recall on some VAG coilpacks. Check with your Audi dealer to see if you car is covered as they will replace all 4 coilpacks FOC if it is.

Yeah your right mate but I think it was for those with the bolt down ones mine are push downs

Yes the push down coilpacks aren't covered on the VAG recall. Though they do seem to fail too.

all my push down coilpacks were replaced under recall !

Wow I got fobbed off last time I rang, I certainly will call again f**kers
