ARRR reverse lights stay on

was told that i did not have any only to remove the lights and fit new bulbs that there were none in,, And no wonder they stay ****** on and reason why ?

Dodgy switch in the gearbox, there's quite a recent thread on this I think.

when you say in the gearbox is it a switch on the outside ?

Yes, it's replaceable from the outside.
