Hi guys.

The orange oil sensor light just popped up on my dash. Checked the oil level via the dipstick and it's full (just had an oil change 800miles ago) and I have checked the fuse (#5) which is fine.

Faulty sensor?

Faulty sensor?
i reckon the sensors just come loose

Any way to address this without dropping the 800mile-old oil?

Hi,

I had the same fault on my 2.0 FSI A4. It was the oil level sensor that I had to change to rectify the fault.
The sensor was located at the bottom of the sump so had to dump all the oil. If you can, plug a diagnostic tool in and it will tell you which sensor is at fault.

Hi,

You will have to drain the oil if it is the sensor, but just pour into a clean container and re-use (the oil filter should be able to get rid on any debris).
