As per title, has anyone ever removed or fitted a OEM cd changer that fits in the glovebox in a B6?

I am currently trying to remove my glovebox but it seems as though it getting stuck around the cd changer area,

so was wondering if anyone had removed one and where the fittings / screws were located?

thanks guys

As said you need some stereo tools to remove to changer but to remove the glove box its just 3 10mm bolts at the top under the door and two 10mm bolts at the bottom and it comes out with the changer still fitted

Hi guys, iv removed the bolts but it's still seems to be sticking,

Should the glovebox slide out or does it need a bit of aggression?

thats what i dont want to do... brute force = something broken!

yes they were 8mm bolts

There's an additional bolt above the CD changer that you can only get at once you have removed the CD changer.

Thanks pal, I will have to find the removal keys to get to that bolt.

Cd changer might be forsale If anyone is interested.

ah yes my bad, there 8mm bolts. As for the removal tools you can make your own, I took my radio out the other day to.fit my hands free kit and all I did was used an old Tesco club card, cut it to the width of the slot on the radio the cut and angle at the end so it was pointed and that did the trick, came straight out
