Hi, i changed my bumper and got rid of fogs. I want to stop the error from showing so what is the right resistor ohms and watts for it please. Thanks

Power (Watts) = I x V or V x V / R

Or

R = V x V / P

So to directly replace the bulb use R= 12 x 12 / 55 = 2.618 Ohms and I would double the resistor wattage at least as it will be very hot, so at least 100 Watts. Going to be big!

Do be careful fitting resistors to dissipate that kind of power, as Woorlord just said it will get Very hot, they generally derate as the temperature rises also, 100 deg could easily derate by 50%..

If you do do it, consider disconnecting the fog light control wire from the light switch, so the fogs cannot be turned on, but the car still sees them as connected..
