EGR Blanking 2003 model

Hi,

I own an Audi A4 2.5 TDI V6 163 cabriolet 2003. I have been trying to get some information regarding blanking the EGR off... I have read that when blanking it you need to reprogramme the car VIA VAG com?

Also what advantages or disadvantages would Blanking the EGR give me?

can't comment on the V6 but my 2004 1.9 PD had to have the EGR switched off as the EML came on after fitting an Allard EGR delete.
As to advantages mine ran sooooo much smoother and revved much more freely, it was like a mini remap. Disadvantages you may have to take it to someone to get the EML turned off.

I didnt even get a fault code/EML on mine when I blanked it (1.9 130 PD) - deffo worth doing though.

I have finally had my EGR blanked tday defo revs freely and feels more responsive.... Defo worth doin

hi Quattro-izy how did you delete it? Did you remove it completely or did you just blank it off using a plate.
