Does anyone think there should be an earth lead here this is on the back of my alternater on my 52 130 TDI. Tryna find out why my battery keeps draining??? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps much appriciated.

Nope not for an earth usually a cable holder bolts on there. The alternator earth is through its body onto the engine block. If the charge is ok around 14 volts with the engine running then I would rule the alternator as ok. More possible something isn't switching off with the ignition off and draining the battery. You need to carry out a current draw test on the vehicle with it in its locked state.
