Does the b7 upper dashboard fit the b6??

as above! ive been wanting to change my dull grey upper dash to black and dont fancy vinyl painting it due heat from the vents etc, so ive been trying to find a b6 dash in black but theyre askin stupid money for them, ive found a b7 one for £100 and was wondering if its the same?

I've done it, took about 2 hours to get everything out, done at a sensible rate... Get a Haynes manual, it was very helpful and spot on with the instructions and pictures.

quite easy to do just got to look for hidden bolts etc

Dont rush into it!!! i have and now i have a dash out of a b7 to go into my b6 and the passenger airbag frame is different so unless you get the airbag with it i wouldnt bother, the brackets that bolt to either side of airbag are different also unless this dash ive been sold isnt from saloon :S im trying to make a gd dash from my old one and the new one, its not easy, im going to have to swap the brackets somehow,

Anyone got any suggestions???

they are easy to do, take your time and get your nose under the dash to see the bolts

well the b7 one isnt unless you get the passenger airbag with it, and even then there is one bracket that is different, i damaged the b7 one i bought but managed to source a b6 avant breaking locally so got a straightforward one for 50 notes
