    Hole in driver's carpet

Hi all - just bought some genuine mats for my avant, mainly to hide the unsightly hole where the previous owner's heel(s) have been...

Its got 104k on her and its been niggling me a bit, as a mate has one with 140k and its not that worn at all!

Is this a fair amount of wear for the mileage do you think?

Gear knob isnt especially worn and the seats are in good condition etc

I know there are a million variables, such as no mats/sharp heels etc - but just wanted some of your knowledge/experence!

    :-)

Mine is exactly the same and it only had 102K when I brought it, in fact the previous owner probably wore sharp heals so much, the hole even goes through the mat as well as the carpet!

Ah Ok - I havent really seen another car that suffers so much. Its suprising as its bloody thick carpet too! lol

Thanks for your replies - I am just being a worry-ar5e, it has fsh which warrents the mileage, but I just thought it was odd!

Mines the same, it's been like it since I got it on 100k. I think if the cars used without a mat, or the mat is allowed to wear through it damages the carpet pretty quickly. Mine's worn where the heel of your right foot rests.
