Re-mapping my 04 plate A4 2.5 v6 tdi cab

please would like any advice when it comes to remapping my audi
i would like better acceleration and mpg but bit worried because ive read about temp getting to hot

please advise me thanks

if the cooling system is working as it should, there should be no problem with it getting hot.

Mines got a tuning box which does both

It shouldn't be any more prone to overheating just because it's been remapped.

kop, is yours a manual / multitronic? a lot of those cabs are multitronic and I know they don't like remapping as it allows much higher torque levels at lower revs...

I would presume it will have an EGT sensor and the ECU will back the boost off for safety if things get too hot ?

Im only presuming this though, as its how other cars work, don't know for sure, can someone confirm ?

Egts won't get that hot. You wouldn't be run that lean to create high enough gets to cause problems

To be honest, remapping wont really increase temperatures.
Even if it does, the viscous fan is capable of flowing alot of air.


It will be exactly the same at idle - I really wouldn't be worried about temperatures at all.
