Automatic!!

Hi. I, looking at buying a '53 1.9 tdi A4 avant and came across one that was cheap. The reason for this is that there is an issue with the automatic gearbox. The chap said it is snatching from standstill - sometimes. Any ideas on the problem?? Is it worth buying?

Some auto's suffered problems something to do with the clutch that's in them and also the gearbox ecu too

Unless its really cheap I would leave alone

Fair enough. Thanks for the advice. I was hoping maybe it was just a case of gearbox oil change!!!

I really couldn't say to be honest I just know they do have problems and it can be really expensive hopefully someone who knows more about them will reply
