S4 lower door skirts- Removal?

Hi All,
Anyone know how to remove the lower skirt pieces from an S4 since I want to get them painted. There are two self tappers at each end, but it doesnt seem to want to come off with these removed and I dont want to force it if its a slide fit or something.

If you have taken the two screws out then slide the trim off towards the back of the car or rear of the door. It may take some elbow greese if there is dirt jammed in there. They should slide right off.

ok, so they are not held on with any adhesive or anything right?
