i have 2002 (52) a4 cab 2.4 sport multi-tronic. yesterday when selecting park ..i had great difficulty in moving the gear stick in a upward/downward motion . i popped of the chrome plate and had a quick look to see if there was anything stopping this. there was 1 or 2 plastic discs bent n twisted around the gear lever...with abit of playing around i freed the prob but had to remove 2 of these discs .the car now runs but sticks in gear and the only way to switch auto /manual is through the steering wheel ...what have i done..........please help.
