Boost gauge now fitted.

Ok, so I finally got around to fitting my boost gauge! My next question is what bar pressure should it be running? (wish I had bought a psi boost gauge)
Its standard 1.8t map.

1bar = 14 psi so should be just under 1 bar

Bare with me whilst i pick your brain a little more; when driving for example in 5th gear (flat out) the gauge shoots to 1bar then drops slightly under.

Im guessing thats correct going by your reply?

It should peak then drop aprox 2-4 psi. Then tail off as the revs go up.

I have a suspect boost leak, which is why i wanted to double check.

I had a boost gauge once it was very pretty to look at but in reality when spanking it the car was so quick I really didn't have time to look at it haha
