Hi,
After some advice on towing with my A4 Cabriolet.
I have a smallish un-braked trailer that I use for family holidays and trips to the dump.
I have the choice of fitting a removable towbar to my A4, or the wife's Mercedes A170 CDI.
I'm a bit concerned about towing with the potentially 'fragile' multitronic transmission - I don't want it to break (again) just yet.
The car is on 95k miles - the gearbox broke at 77k and cost the previous owner £2k to get fixed - it had a 7 piece clutch fitted and new ECU.. I'm planning to get the gearbox oil changed when it goes in for the next service in 7k miles.
Anyone have any suggestions?
