2.5tdi compatability

hi

does anyone know if the 2.5tdi engine from an a6 (98-04) is the same as the unit from the a4 b6 chassis?
have found a turbocharger from one and need to know if it will fit.....
will check part number compatabilty once item arrives, just wondering if anyne knew,

B6 has different GT2052 turbochargers, either ending in F or S, the c5 had GT2050 turbochargers ending in C or G. Phisically they fit one to another but the GT2052 are bigger turbochargers with better, later generation VNT mechanism...

At least what I've seen turbos from different cars they all are the same gt2052v what comes to the turbine/compressor wheels sizes.
Only thing that may differ is length of the vnt-rod. You won't see and notice any difference.
