    Pollen Filter

    Should it have a cover over it ??? i'm thinking this maybe where the water is getting in , if it does then has anyone got a part number for it ??

    there should be a small cover on it just covering the front ot if

    Yes there is, ETKA lists it as 8E2 819 979A for a rhd car.

    cheers james i'll phone audi tomorrow.... do you think this is more likely the reason for the flooded passenger footwell rather than the blocked plenem ??

    Probably Mark yes, assuming the plenum chamber isn't blocked then this is most likely.

    the cover is there for a reason, to stop water getting in, if you can and have the time, pull the whole casing out and seal the base of the filter holder with a silicon to seal the base up, if you know what i mean,
