my air inlet pipes on my 2.5TDI V6 are all black grungy, i gave them a Mr Muscle last summer, cleared some of it out, but i wanted to know if any of you have a better idea?

i may soak them in Thinners or bake them in the oven and see if that liquefies the crap in order to get a better clean out in there,

your ideas please ?

are you talking about the alloy intake ones, 1 on each bank and the one that connects them. If so they are a fiddly affair to sort them. Lots of carb cleaner and a long brush, petrol may work. flame thrower:whistle2:. If you have some results share the info will you, im planning to do mine soon

Keep us all updated when you do it.
Ive got the 1.9 and going to clean EGR and Inlet when it gets a little warmer too along with crank case breather fixing too

I though of petrol/thinners to clean them out. Think a small wire brush on a drill might be a little over kill on it
One of those dremel kits maybe ?

Vinegar and baking soda works wonders on clearing blocked plugs holes and drains....

Maybe this would loosen some of it........ :uhm:
