Newbie checking in for advice etc, hopefully shouldnt need to much help, Audis are totally reliable arnt they
Just picked up my A4 1.9TDI Sport Avant in silver with 73k on the clock, really nice clean car with FASH, really pleased with it, as many others on here I am a bit concerned about the Multitronic box, but scanning through the service history it had a G/box oil change at 38k and then the dreaded G/box ECU fault at 43k, doesnt look like its had the 7-plate upgrade though!
I am thinking of getting the oil changed again just to stay on the safe side but reading other posts there seems to be a trend of gettting the oil changed and then having a fault pop up a few thousand miles later? Am I just being paranoid or is there a connection/should I just get it done anyway, also does the fresh oil conserve the plates in the box or generally help keep everything in order, as you can tell I am not all that clued up on auto boxes, I will prob get the guys at inde-tech to do it as they are not too far away from me and from what you guys say on here they seem to be the guys to go to!
Thanks in advance for any advice
