Bonnet wont open

Hi how do you open the bonnet when the lever that comes through the grill wont decatch it?

When my dads went audi used about 6 extension bars joined together and got to the catch on the underside of the bonnet from underneath and it turned out to be the plastic that the cable runs through had broken so there was no tension to pull the catch but was sorted with 2 mega cable ties so it should hold it better than the original plastic.

Had this once too,the lock is jammed by the oxidation.
You can get it open trough there tough,just keep trying to find the lever between the hood and front bumper.Needs a push/pull because the cable is stuck.
Grease it in well after.
