Turbo impact

Recently had my 1.8t remapped, very impressed with the power gain and now boosts to 17psi. My question is when accelerating the boost isn't gradual, it feels like the car has not alot of power upto around 7psi then bang the power hits in and it flys, just want to know if anyone else has this effect or could it be a problem if so what do people suggest?

That's normal for a mapped ko3 car.

When they mapped it, did they not go out in the car with you afterwards and discuss how you felt about the car?

Guess that makes me feel better, guess next step would be gt28.

Yeah I did but when it was done I had a slight boost leak on forge valve so car felt quick than standard but since then I noticed the hose wasnt on right so now it's tight the car is that much quicker.

Shocked anyone mapped a car without checking it over. Who did it?

Local guy to me called tuning factory, think I caused the problem as I have a split r valve and was adjusting the tension so wasn't his fault. Good excuse to upgrade turbo now so I can get a good gradual boost.

also apoorly mapped car would also see these problems ive driven a std car with stage 1 map with no issues like that !!! that was a rtech mapped car very gradual and steady if you wanted to drive it that way wasnt harsh at all
