Hi all !
I've got a 3.0 v6 b6 avant that's done 65k ! Just wondering if it's chain driven like alot of VAG v6's or has a Cambelt ?
Also the last couple of days the engine has developed a loudish ticking , ideas ??

Don't think any VAG V6 engines use a chain apart from the VW VR6
They all have a chain that links the camshafts, but the timing belt is still a belt

cheers, just that my mkv R32 was a chain !

Cheers AndyMac (i'll get my coat lol)
What mileage is reccomended for change ?

What year and engine code is ur audi as the intervals differ a lot, Are u on fixed or long life servicing?

its deffo a belt and 70k/5 years i should think and a water pump as well as a precaution
