2.5tdi v6 issue with noisy air intake/airbox

For a while I have had an excessivley loud air sucking noise on a light to medium throttle. It almost sounds like it is wheasing! If you come off the throttle it stops obviously but also give it more gas and it also stops.

Any ideas guys??

One other thing though, throttle response is improved when it is not as severe but sometimes it is very apparent(sounds asthmatic!) and the throttle is less responsive!

you migt have a split hose or a boost leak...

Reading a few posts I have come to the same opinion. Will get that checked with my mechanic next week. Cheers!
