hi everybody, just wondered if anyone could help with these fault codes? as i dont have the money to buy the full version of vcds or clue what some mean.

16891 - Idle Control System RPM: Higher than Expected.

P0507 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded

01331 - Door Control Module; Driver Side (J386)

49-00 - No Communications

01370 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

35-00 - Please Register/Activate

00962 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

35-00 - Please Register/Activate

01368 - Alarm triggered by Luggage Compartment Switch

35-00 - -

01374 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

35-00 - Please Register/Activate

• Check Intake System for Leaks

• When found in the NAR 2.0T (BPY) check RVUTB: 01-09-03 or 2018919 for updated Crankcase Breather Valve
  • If the breather valve is faulty, full engine vacuum is typically found when removing the oil cap at idle.

Right got mate dropping his laptop off this evening which I'm going to use to try and clear some of these faults. I've got a new convenience module to code to my car as I think that's whats causing all the aggro with the door electrics not working on both sides of the car. only thing is i have no idea where to start, obviously I can read codes but don't want to mess it all up changing values I've found :: a4mods.com :: - The Premiere Audi A4 Modification Guide and Pictures Library which obviously helps with the numeric side of things but just wanted a bit of help using vcds. Gonna get father -in-law to look at engine fault hopefully he'll be able to play with the throttle valve module and get rid of the warning.

so your door locks windows aint working ?
have you pulled the rubber back between drivers door
very comon fault the wires snap and cause this problem
you have to look close as there usaly still intact but broke tug them you will find the broke ones if any
the TB fault iv found when iv had this on many cars needs TB RESET can be done with vcds if that dont work take it off clean it out then reset

• System voltage at least 11.0 V.

[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 060
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
Wait until Field 4 shows "ADP. O.K.".
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

• Switch Ignition OFF.
